Daniel o'Shea Clements joined "The Sweets of Sin" in 1986, a year after the band was founded by Frank Mankyboddle and Steve Z.

Having played trumpet in the band "Del Webb Explosion" with Mankyboddle a couple of years earlier Daniel now discovered his passion for the drums. He was perfectly suited for the job as he was free of preconceived ideas about how a drummer should perform in a band. Taking over from Mankyboddle who established the standing-up drumkit for the band in order to bring a fresh and melodic approach to the percussion-parts of the music, he developed his drumming from these prerequesites.

Daniel was a member of the band until it's first breakup in 1994.
